It got really slow again in the last month. Just wondering if the rest of you are finding sales are really taking a dip and that a lot of the slimier distributors are heading the way of the used car lot in their sales tactics? We had one the other day tell a customer they'd beat any price or your money back. I'm sure they really meant it, not!
Business is steady but erratic.
Yes there are all sorts of slime tactics being deployed by people right now. We saw one site recently selling products at a 5% loss! There seems to be tons of that going around as everyone chases cash.
Business is steadily picking up. What we are seeing though is more distributors that are giving away the shop to stay in business and a lot are doing some really shady things. We have seen distributors offering a customer product brand A only to ship a lesser brand to a customer. Complaints are really spiking and customer service is falling badly.
